MINI DEM

DEM plants are designed to obtain demineralized water through the use of specific cationic and anionic resins capable of absorbing the saline and mineral part from the water to be extracted. Thanks to this characteristic, DEM plants are particularly suitable for creating closed circuits of demineralized water that are constantly treated in a continuous recirculation, passing through the resin plant which, once exhausted, will be replaced in a simple operation that does not require specialized technical personnel. DEM plants are typically used in washing machines to achieve perfect residue-free surfaces.

The Demineralization with Resins solution involves a demineralization system designed to be applied to the equipment (kitting) of each washer and, as mentioned, to operate with a total recirculation system.

This way, discharges to the treatment system and/or to the public sewer for excess water disposal are eliminated.

The project will be structured as follows:

The washing and final rinse water will be transferred, with a submersible pump installed in the machine’s recovery tank, directly to the double-column demineralizer (cationic – anionic), and from there, it will be reintroduced into the outlet tank.

The treated water will always have a conductivity of less than 50 µS and the complete absence of any form of suspended solids.

The operation of the plant will be fully automatic, starting in parallel with the start of the washer. The installed resins will guarantee long-term operation without requiring any intervention from maintenance personnel.

A special electronic display system will constantly indicate the characteristics of the treated water. An LED indicator will show the saturation status of the resins, which will then need to be replaced.

Demineralization plants can be sized according to customer needs and based on the number of washers (or users) to be supplied. The supply of a single washer is usually satisfied with a volume of approximately 100-150 litres/hour.

DEM plants, and demineralization plants in general, can be combined at the inlet with OSM units in cases where particular mineral reductions are required before feeding the OSM or progressive demineralisations with particularly high-performance results are desired.
